要用different表示“与…不同”,英国英语可后接 to,美国英语可后接 than,但两者均不如用from 普遍(英美通用):

不过,在比较简单的比较中,人们较少用than,但 than before 这类惯用搭配除外(可视为一个完整句子的省略)。
