当 there be…用作介词宾语时，原则上是用 there being。如：

They planned on there being another meeting. 他们打算再开一次会议。

There is now some hope of there being a settlement of the dispute. 现在还有点希望可以解决这次争端。

但这种用法有一种例外，那就是这个介词不能是for，即用作介词for的宾语时不用 there being，而是要用there to be。又如：

It was too late for there to be any buses. 太晚了，不会有公共汽车了。

They asked for there to be another meeting. 他们要求再开一次会议。

It’s impossible for there to be a happier family. 不可能有比这个家庭更幸福的了。

I’m anxious for there to be plenty of time for discussion. 我迫切希望有充分的时间进行讨论。

It’s important for there to be a fire escape at the back of the building. 房子后面要有一个太平梯，这很重要。
