书上说 used to 的意思是“过去常常”，是不是它只能用于指过去的情况，不能用于指现在的情况？如果表示“现在常常”呢？怎么办？

used to只能指过去（指过去的习惯，尤其用于强调过去与现在的对比）。如：

I used to drink alcohol, but I don’t any more. 我以前喝酒，但现在不再喝了。

I used to live in London, but now I live in Edinburgh. 我以前住在伦敦，但现在住在爱丁堡。

They used to live in Scotland but they moved down south. 他们以前住在苏格兰，后来移居南方了。

若要指现在的习惯，可以用一般现在时。如：

She often works at the weekend. 她经常在周末工作。

I often see him in the garden. 我常见他在花园里。

I often take a walk during my lunch break. 我常在午休时间散步。
