ask too few for ...这样的结构一般不太会出现，这是因为这里强调的是整体价值，一般用ask too little for / ask too much for。
ask这里的义项比较接近require or call for as a price or condition / want a particular amount of money for something you are selling——当然，这里的句子不是在卖东西。而是对于奖品，老人要得太少了，即所要的东西总体价值太少了。
