The suggestion where we should exercise regularly is very practical.

这个句子看做是同位语从句能理解，但是个人觉得也可以看做是定语从句。

We should exercise regularly in this suggestion. 在这个建议中我们应该经常锻炼。

为什么这样理解是不对的呢？

这里suggestion后面接同位语从句可以参照idea的情况来理解。例如：I have no idea (about) where he has gone.这里的about可以省，于是where从句就成了同位语从句。而这里的suggestion句子相当于suggestion on/about where we should exercise regularly，省略了介词之后，也是个同位语从句（不过使用on更保险一些）。

为什么不是定语从句？因为我们“在建议里”应该锻炼表述不通，想要表达这个意思正确的说法是“根据建议”我们应该锻炼，也就是suggestion according to which we should exercise regularly或者suggestion which requires us to exercise regularly。
