赞同曹老师的解答。借此机会顺便说一说different from，different to和different than的区别。薄冰《英语惯用法词典》（P.214）正好有这几组词的用法说明。摘录如下（供参考）：
1. different from是标准用法，英、美都用的较普遍；美国英语有时候用different than;在英国则常用different to。例如：
A solid is different from a liquid in that the solid has definite shape.固体和液体不同点在于固体有一定的形状。
Rolle-skating is very different to ice-skating.穿旱冰鞋滑冰与在冰上滑冰大不相同。
How different things seem now than yesterday.现在的各项事情看起来和过去多么不同啊。
2. 在口语中，different from 有时后接疑问词引起的从句。在这种情况下，from不宜改成than或to。例如：
Certainly I couldn't help being different from when I left the campus.的确，我和当年离开校园时迥然两人是不可避免的。
It would be no different from what happened yesterday.这和昨天发生的情况没有什么不同。
3.有时different than后面可接从句，这时than不宜改成from或to。例如：
They are not different now than they were last year.他们现在和去年没有什么区别。
Times are different than they used to be.现今时代不同于以往。
