为什么不用and连接两个并列成分

人教版七下第8单元中有一句话:

It's across from the bank, behind the hotel.

这句话为什么没用and来连接，而是用逗号？

across from the bank 的 behind the hotel不是并列成分，而是前者表示笼统的地点，后者表示具体的地点。又如：My book is over there, on the desk. 我的书在那边，在书桌上。

It's across from the bank, behind the hotel.

肯定不能用连词 and 啦，因为 from the bank 是状语，而 behind the hotel 是定语，修饰 bank，相当于一个非限制性定语从句：

It's across from the bank, behind the hotel.

=It's across from the bank, which behind the hotel.

它在酒店后面的银行对面。
