请问各位老师关于next year/week/month和the next year/week/month的具体用法。

我在一本教材上看到这样一段话：

After a lot of effort, it reopened in 2001. Hopefully it will be safe for at least the next 300 years.

在第二句话中用了the next 300 years，但是我了解到next year的时间基点是现在，而the next year的时间基点是过去或将来，那么Hopefully it will be safe for at least the next 300 years. 这句话的时间基点我认为也应该是现在，因为时态用的是一般将来时，因此，我有些疑惑这里的the next 300 years应如何理解？可以换成next 300 years吗？谢谢。
