这是the more..., the more...结构的一个变体，前面是主句，后面是从句。主句的比较级不用the，而且比较级不前置，但从句的比较级仍需要用the，同时从句的比较级也需要前置。看下面简单的例句：

You will get fatter the more you eat. 主句在前，从句在后（变体）。
