catch somebody doing something意思为“撞见/逮到某人做某事”，现在分词作宾语补足语。这里是其被动结构，所以宾语补足语变成了主语补足语（祈使句暗含主语you）。本句主要表达的意思是“不要在餐馆犯下难堪的错误”，而不是“犯错误的时候别被看见”。
