备注：on whom I think you can depend on为“嵌入式定语从句”修饰名词the man.关系代词whom在定语从句中的宾语从句作谓语动词depend on的宾语。I think为定语从句中的宾语从句主句。

特别备注： on whom I think you can depend不是介词宾语从句修饰名词the man，而且嵌入式定语从句修饰名词the man。定语从句包含“主语+谓语动词+that 宾语从句”，关系代词whom在定语从句中宾语从句作谓语动词can depend on的宾语，或者说作介词on的宾语，关系代词whom代替先行词the man.
