一道很争议性的单选题

其中：ABD都有不少网友选择，有些网友觉得不选择A和B，接下来提出不选择A的原因：It is useful to science错误，应该改成for science.但也有网友说It is useful to science to consider the earth as an object in space.其中to consider the earth as an object in space.作真实主语，不受It is useful for sb/sth to do 限制。
而我看到王福祯的<英语词语用法>提到，当useful后接人再接不定式时，只能用for，不可用to.不过这个例子science是物。不知道是不是也不能这样用。
不选择B的原因：有些网友认为consider...as这样的结构下，主语应该人而不是物，science considers the earth as an object in space.认为主语用science是物不对，主语应该用人才对。但有些网友认为consider的主语用人用物都对，选择B是作为定语从句。
有些网友不明白为什么有人选择D，认为这样的后置没有见过。如果选择D的话那么就是the consideration of the earth as an object in space.作为一个很长的名词后置。
不过最后几乎没有人选择c，不过也有人提出，选择c的原因是省略that.It is useful to (that)science considers the earth as an object in space.网友看法认为that science considers the earth as an object in space.作为主语从句。但是

请教一下老师们的分析。因为不少人都有选择abd，c很少。

这个所谓的答案C是明显的错误。这导致介词to后接一个that从句（无论是否省略that都是that从句），而介词tohis绝对不可以后接that从句的。
这是一个很简单的问题，it为形式主语，需要不定式作真正主语，所以A是正确答案。to consider...为不定式短语作真正主语。to science为状语。不定式的逻辑主语并不是science，而是scientist。与不定式复合结构无关。
B的错误在于It指代什么无从得知，且science并不是consider的逻辑主语，consider的逻辑主语应该是人，而不是science。
D的错误在于用名词性结构作外置主语，而名词词组一般是不能作外置主语的。
