关于it作形式宾语的问题

各位老师向大家请教一个题目：

I feel ________ a mistake for my mother ________ me wear these ugly braces.

A. it's; to make B. it; to make

这道题出自一本初中英语练习册，答案是A，it作为宾语从句中的形式主语。但是B为什么不对呢，这时it作为feel的形式宾语，a mistake作为宾补，to make me wear these ugly braces作真正的宾语。

请问B选项为什么不行，谢谢！

如你所说，其实B项也是正确的。例如牛津词典例句：

She felt it her duty to tell the police.

I feel it a great honour to be chosen.

这是命题人的失误。
