为什么这句话是以what为主语的陈述语序？如果在宾语从句中，若以the matter为主语，what作表语，I don't know what the matter with you is.这样表达可以吗？

I don't know what the matter with you is. 这样的表达可以，但比较少见，更常见的是：I don't know what the matter is with you. 和 I don't know what‘s the matter with you.

一般认为What's the matter with you?这个问句的主语是what，等于What's wrong with you? 所以在名词性从句中通常仍然用这个语序，I don't know what's the matter with you.

首先排除掉介词后的you. 这个是主系表结构, 无从区分主语是what 还是the matter, 除非给出具体的答语, 比如 the matter is my headache. My headache is the matter. 从而推断主语是谁.
