通常语法书说引导让步状语从句是Much as, 不可以用Much though, 但是上句却使用了Much though,

又如：

Much though he would like to, Mr Kohl can neither silence Mr Stoiber nor ignore him.

因此，请教老师，Much though是否也可以引导让步状语从句，而且等同于Much as 呢？

这个一查词典不就可以了。much though/as 是习语，much though 多见英国英语，所以 The Economist 用这个。much as 美国更多见。

你所语法书上说，不能用much though, 有可能你记错了，或者是句子的特殊语境要求，要么就是语法书质量低劣。

这里的 Much 是副词，作状语，为了强调而前置，不是 Much though 一起作连词引导让步状语从句。
