2 冒号、分号后面的句子是单独的吗

请问老师，冒号、分号后面的句子是单独的，理解为两个句子？还是像and一样，理解为两个并列句？

冒号后面是否大写？好像大写小写都可以？

冒号后的部分经常是介绍、解释和强调前面提到的事，通常第一个单词的首字母应该小写（专有名词除外）。例如：Our future is dependent on three things: sustainability, diversity, and enhancing our strength and health.

如果冒号后为直接引语，首字母要大写。如：Shakespeare said: "Brevity is the soul of wit."

你的问题句中的even, 首字母应该小写。外媒网站的一些文章偶尔会出现这种现象，应该属于编辑的疏忽。
