这里的 to earn a living是整个并列句的目的状语，还是but he also wrote novels这个分句的目的状语？

2. Although tom is too ill to live alone, he is a headstrong man and refuse to move into the nursery room.

although..... 是转折状语，那么这个转折状语修饰的是he is a head strong man，还是he is a headstrong man and refuse to move into the nursery room 整个并列句？

完整句子应该是:

这里的She cry, beat the cat and knock the cup down是不是省略了主语she的并列句。如果是，in order to attract her mother's attention . 作为目的状语，修饰的是整个并列句？完整结构应该是：

She cry, in order to ....

she beat the cat, in order to...

and she knock the cup down, in order to...

【答】应该是：Tom not only taught, but also wrote novels to earn a living.这里的not only 和 but also 连接两个并列的谓语； to earn a living 是动词不定式短语作目的状语。
