while和if都能引导条件状语从句吧，为什么此处能两词连用？

另外请问此处的It isn't worth指的是什么东西不worth了？中文版翻译为“不能滑就没意义了”

这里的while是名词，意为 The time, effort, or trouble taken in doing something: The project wasn't worth my while. while作worth的宾语。it指代go skiing这件事。worth while也可以连拼为worthwhile，这就成了形容词了。
