1. 第一句是虚拟语气用法的一个常见句型,即if it were not for... 有些词典已经把它列为习语idiom, 如韦氏词典，https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/if%20it%20were%20not%20for 也可以写成Were it not for... for为介词，表示原因。the fact 为for的宾语，后面的that引导同位语从句。
