问题1：his own age是个名词词组，前面是不是省略了介词？除非是限制性同位语，名词是不能直接作为后置修饰语的吧

2. Ritu was quite a people person and usually went out of her way to offer help.

问题2：quite a people person是什么用法？

1. 这属于和age搭配使用的一种习惯用法，可以看作前面省略了of. 有没有of都对，而且都常见。可以理解为后置定语。

2. quite经常用于修饰一个名词短语，尤其是有形容词修饰的名词短语, 如：This was quite a farm in its day. It's quite a big room. 你的句子里的people虽然是名词，但起形容词作用，修饰person. 指喜欢和他人打交道的人。

3.这里虽然是并列句，但没有必要加and, 因为后面有个after which, 指的是前面谈到的几种情形。而且，在文学作品里，有时作者从修辞角度考虑，为了句子有紧凑感，有时会出现用逗号分隔句子的现象。

但也有的版本把后面的after which改为and,使后面的几个分句信息并列出现。
