rather than 用法疑惑
老师好！
(1) University officials may ask students to type their exam answers on a computer rather than use a pen.
(2) We live in a stress-filled world. Rather than only looking for ways to change the stress-filled situations, look for stress that can work for you.
第一句为什么rather than 后接了动词原形use？而第二句Rather than 后却接了looking，而不是动词原形look呢？
rather than是介词，还是连词呢？顺便请教老师，other than 是介词还是连词呢？

在 rather than 后面可以接带 to 或者不带 to 的动词不定式，也可以接动名词。可以把动名词前面的 rather than 看作是介词。
other than 可以作介词，也可以作连词。
