句子没有错，我估计好题老师的设错点应该是 one hundred dead。
根据英语习惯，dead 前面是可以连用数词的，表示具体死亡的数量。又如：
The enemy suffered over 250 dead and about 1000 wounded in the operation. 在这次战斗中，敌人死 250 多人，伤约 1000 人。
The dictator’s ten-year reign of terror left over 100000 dead. 独裁者十年的恐怖统治夺走了10 多万人的生命。
Official reports put the death toll at under one hundred, but unofficial estimates speak of at least two hundred dead. 官方报道说死亡人数在100人以下，但非官方估计至少有200人死亡。
1 dead可以是名词，单复数同形，都是dead。例如《韦氏高阶》dead作为名词词条：
plural dead
[plural] : people who have died
By the end of the war, there were over two million dead.
2 report还在那里，我们现在还能看到report在说，所以主句用says，现在去数死亡人数还是100人。所以从句用现在时are，in the accident是dead的定语，不是存在句的状语。本句中dead是名词，不是形容词。
