请问老师，after the narrator told the story是状语从句，但是跟前面的many years是什么关系呢？many years after看不懂!

many years after the narrator told the story 的意思是：“ the narrator told the story这件事（发生以后）的很多年后”，属于点时间（时间点），不是一段时间。作为一个搭配来记忆即可。
