1.这个句子中，as he did作为定语从句但是提前到了先行词之前，但其先行词并非句子而是短语，如按传统语法分析，这样的定语从句是否可认为不符合语法？

2.如果按现代语法分析，是否可以认为先行词their implementation of...是无动词分句，等于“they were implementing mission tactics”因此as he did作为修饰分句的定语从句是可以放在句中的。这样的分析是否正确？

as they did 修饰的是claiming their implementation of mission tactics 这个现在分词短语，而不是修饰 their implementation of mission tactics 这个名词词组。如果按照传统语法把as分析为关系代词，as的先行词是现在分词短语。如果按照现代语法把as分句分析为比较分句，则as分句是对现在分词短语作补充说明。现代语法不会把their implementation of mission tactics这个名词词组分析为无动词分句的，它就是一个名词词组作claiming的宾语。
