picture that a nation is developing more and more regional competition 这样一个同位语从句，即划线部分相当于一个名词性从句，因此developing是动名词。
b句the relative motion of the plates carrying these continents，可以改写成：the
relative motion of the plates which carry these continents,表示 “承载这些大洲的板块的相对运动”，不能改写成：the
relative motion that the plates are carrying these continents,因此carrying是现在分词。
