1. ...; tiny green-and-yellow parakeets (which) Fee used to call lovebirds, but which the locals called budgerigars. Fee应该是人名，parakeets后接but并列的二个定语从句。第一个定语从句省略了作宾语的关系代词that/which, 但第二个关系代词就不能省略了。所以这里没有错误，是你误读了句子结构。

2 at home = at ease = easily。off the earth指蜥蜴的跳跃，on it指蜥蜴的爬行。as at home off the earth as on it= as easily off the ground as on the ground. 蜥蜴跳跃和爬行同样轻松。可以像在地面爬行一样轻而易举的在树枝之间跳跃。
