3 would的使用和理解

When I would cry,you would always be there to try to cheer me up.

上面的从句和主句同时使用了would，主句里的would always是否表示过去的习惯，是否相当于you used to be there to try to cheer me up？而时间状语从句里的would又怎样理解呢？

when从句使用would, 表明说话人的意愿，即当我想哭的时候，类似用法也可以在if从句见到,如：If you will take these cases and decide them solely upon the evidence, I am sure you will have no difficulty in arriving at proper verdicts.主要would 这里可以理解为过去将来时用法，也可以理解为过去习惯。甚至你不用would,直接用you were always there也可以，但不如加上will/would 更正式。
