这是“Run in the Fam'ly”这本书上的，在第224页。你在引用的时候后面少了个主语he。

老美就是不按常理出牌。这里的good是副词，有多个意思，在这里的意思是“completely and thoroughly”，估计也就是北美的口语中常用。有的人认为这种用法不是标准英语。
