主谓一致疑问

Radiation from the sun, space, and from communication devices on Earth are constantly bouncing around on the surface of the planet.

老师，这里主语明明是radiation，为什么使用复数谓语are？这是对的吗？

radiation表示powerful and very dangerous rays that are sent out from radioactive substances这个意思时，既可以是可数名词，也可以是不可数名词。既然谓语动词用了复数，主语也应该用复数radiations. 要么主语保持不可数名词用法，谓语动词改为单数is形式。二者取其一。
