有的人认为可以用 in 来代替上面句子中的 into。如：

但实际上，用介词 in 代替 into 的这种用法很少见，且被一些权威辞书判为错误。如：

我觉得，应该说be born into/to 更为多见，更正式。但be born in 也不算错，也有不少母语人写的文章里这样用。如：

Edgar Thorpe 编写的教材Objective English用了四个带有born in a family的句子：

(a) born in a family of nationalists

(b) born in a middle - class family

(d) born in a royal family

另外母语的人写的书上也经常出现：

1. In other words, the child born in a poor family starts out life at a considerable disadvantage compared with a child born in a middle- or upper-middle-class family.

2. Being born in a middle-class family made a big difference.

3. A musician may be born in a family of carpenters, and a great architect may be born in a family of farmers who have never had even a primitive realization of architectural design.

4. Louis was the second born in a family of five children.
