请问老师，that从句是定语从句修饰an explosion吗？为什么放在最后面呢？还是说定语从句修饰前面整个发生的事情an explosion would have undoubtedly occurred，有这样的用法吗？

If the flames had reached these, an explosion would have undoubtedly occurred that might have started a fire large enough to wipe out the entire district.
