一年365天，金字塔四个侧面每一侧91个台阶，四个面加起来为364个台阶，一个台阶代表一年365天中的每一天，所以还少一个台阶，所以最顶上的那一个就凑够了365这个数。365后既不能加step，也不能加steps。这个语境是在数数，是在进行计算，91X4=364，再加1就等于365. 如果你要在365后加step，那么365就要用序数词，即365th.
One for each day of the year, but I think we’ve missed something. 这是口语句子，说话人考虑欠妥，犯了一个语法错误。One for each day of the year是一个独立主格结构做状语，后面句子用并列连词but就是语法错误了。如果说话人想要表示转折关系，可以用连接副词yet, 这样独立主格结构作让步状语，仍然可以用连接副词yet表示这种转折关系。句子意思为：虽然一个台阶代表一年中的每一天，但我认为我们还是错过了某个东西。
