1. What I like is your dog, not you.

请问后面的not you的结构应该怎么理解？是补充语（插入语）吗？结构相当于especially you。还是不完整举例的并列？我听曹老师讲过，没有and的并列暗示着不完整举例。如果是并列，那么为什么前面还有个否定副词not?

这里的and not others肯定不能分析成插入语语或补充语了，只能分析成并列，那么同样的问题，并列的名词或代词前面可以加否定副词not吗？如果是这样的话，我把第一个句子改成What Iike is your dog and not you.是否正确？

1. What I like is your dog, (but) (it is) not you.

当并列的二个分句一个是肯定分句，一个是否定分句时，连词but通常可以省略，形成所谓逗号句。又如：

He didn't simply like her, (but) he loved her.

2. from some regions and not others = from some regions and not other places. and并列的是介词from的二个宾语。
