你不能因为看到yet在一个句子的句首，就误以为yet是从属连词引导状语从句。并列连词and, but, or，so, yet, for都可以用在一个句子的句首，表示本句和前一句在语义上存在等立、转折、选择、因果等关联，起类似于连接性状语的作用。你的这个句子中yet就是这种用法，yet表示转折是与前一句话的内容有转折关系，而不是与后面的内容。it can cause eating disorders such as bulimia and can prove fatal 这个分句是对is dangerous的补充说明，属于补充语分句。没有用并列连词是因为该分句与前一分句并不是并列关系，而是对前一分句的解释和补充。所以，不要一见所谓逗号句，就认为是错误的。
