the wide world 中加上 wide 只是为了强调，大致相当于汉语的“大千世界”。有时还会加上 whole 说成 the whole wide world，其实都跟 the world 同义(语气不同而已)。如：

You’re the nicest person in the whole wide world! 你是全世界最好的人！

It’s the best job in the whole wide world. 这是整个大千世界中最好的工作。

I felt like the luckiest girl in the whole wide world [=in the world] that day. 那一天，我觉得自己是全世界最幸运的女孩。
