Two youths aged 16 were arrested. 两名16岁的年轻人被捕了。

Children age 12 and up must pay the full fare.  12 岁及以上儿童需购买全票。

Children aged 12 and up must pay the full fare. 12 岁及以上儿童需购买全票。

【说明】用 age 为美国英语，用 aged 为英国英语。《剑桥英语用法指南》对此有如下说明：aged or age?   Should it be aged 30 or age 30, when you want to indicate someone’s age? British English uses the first, American English the second.(当要表示某人的年龄时，是用 aged 30 还是 age 30？英国英语用前者，美国英语用后者)

▲就网友dengqianyi引用的《英语常用词疑难用法手册》书中的四个表达来说，后面两个表达（用aged的表达）肯定没问题；但前面两个表达（用age的表达）似乎有排版错误，即 age 似应用复数 ages，即：

children ages 5 and 2 五岁和两岁的孩子 

children ages 12 to 17 十二岁到十七岁的孩子 

a woman aged about 30 一个大约三十岁的妇女 

children aged 9 to 12 或 children 9 to 12 years old 或 children 9 to 12 九到十二岁的孩子

【说明】ages 5 and 2 以及 ages 12 to 17 这类表达要用复数 ages 的用法，就像 pages 10-12（第10至12页）、exerceises 4 and 5（练习4、5）等用法中的 pages, exercises 要用复数情形是一样的。
