在这个句子里though是什么词性呢？为什么可以直接加lacking而不需要写Though they lacked money呢？

though引导的状语从句可以省略与主句一致的主语以及be动词，但补充的完整句子里没有be动词啊？

为什么可以直接加lacking而不需要写Though they lacked money呢？——完全可以。

though引导的状语从句可以省略与主句一致的主语以及be动词，但补充的完整句子里没有be动词啊？——这是分词短语作状语（让步状语），不是所谓的连词后省略主语和be动词，因为lack是静态动词，不用于进行体。

特别说明：为了让现在分词 lacking money 这个让步状语意思更加明确，特意加上连词 though。如果没有though，可能导致误解句意。
