Although there was not as much homework as I was used to, it was still challenging.

这是高中英语新教材译林版必修1第1单元的句子(p11)。

请问句子中的as…as I was used to 的 to 后面有省略吗？如果有，这是什么省略？为什么可以这样省略？另外，这里的比较好像也不太好理解，前面是 there was…，后面是 I was used to，能这样比较吗？谢谢专家老师的解答！

把第二个as理解成关系代词，你就没有疑问了。as I was used to是关系分句，这是我的理解。

参考译文：虽然没有像我习惯的那么多家庭作业，但它仍然很具有挑战性。

although 为从属连词，引导让步状语从句。as much +不可数名词+as+从句，第1个as为副词，第2个as比较代词，引导比较状语从句(as I was used to ), 比较代词(as)在比较状语从句作was used to 的宾语。

备注：be used to +名词/代词/动名词，表示“习惯于”某事/做某事

(1) be used to doing sth 习惯于做某事

I'm not used to eating so much at lunchtime.我不习惯午饭吃那么多。

I'm used to having my sleep interrupted.我习惯了睡觉时被吵醒。

(2) be used to +代词(sth) 习惯于某事

I found the job tiring at first but I soon got used to it.起初我觉得这份工作很累人，但很快就习惯了

It doesn't frighten them. They're used to it. 这可吓不倒他们。他们已经习惯了。

(3) be used to +名词(sth) 习惯于某事

She is not used to the cold weather in Beijing. 她不习惯北京寒冷天气。

He is not used to work hard .他习惯努力工作。

备注：as +形容词+as; as+副词+as; as +much +as; as+much +不可数名词 as

(1)as +形容词+as

You're as tall as your father.你和你父亲一样高。

He was as white as a sheet.他面无血色。

(2) as+副词+as

She doesn't play as well as her sister.她演奏得不如她姐姐。

(3)as +much +as

He doesn't earn as much as I do.他挣的钱不如我多。

(4)as+much +不可数名词+as

I haven`t got as much money as I thought.我没有得到我想的那么多钱。
