根据剑桥英语语法，more...than比较分句必须是不完整的分句，即主句比较项的对应项在比较分句必须省略，形成空位。在网友这个句子中，more为及物动词achieve的宾语，为比较项，其对应项在比较分句是必须省略，留出一个空位。than it is possible for you to achieve. 其中比较分句中to achieve这个及物动词的宾语为比较对应项，是必须省略的，形成一个空位。然后than分句的形式主语it 和外置的不定式分句for you to achieve 同时省略，得到 than is possible. is 可以进一步省略，得到than possible. 所以：

Don’t push yourself to achieve more than (is) possible. 标准英语。

Don’t push yourself to achieve more than what is possible. 不够标准的英语，但老外有人用。

Don’t push yourself to achieve more than it is possible. 错误。

Don’t push yourself to achieve more than what is possible. 不要强迫自己去完成不可能完成的事情。

【分析】 than 是介词， what is possible 是宾语从句，作 than 的宾语； more than what is possible 一起作 to achieve 的宾语。 more than what is possible 的意思是“不可能的”。
