of + 抽象名词构成的介词短语做表语，相当于形容词作表语，表示主语具有某种性质。例如，This job is of great importance. = This job is very important. 所以，be of 可以理解为具有...性质。Most honeybees in the U.S. today are of Italian heritage. 现在美国的蜜蜂大多数都有意大利血统。（即为意大利蜜蜂的后代）不可以用from，from...heritage是没有道理的。要学习be of +抽象名词这种用法及其意义
