这是新教材高中英语北师大版(2019)必修一第1单元(p10)的一个句子。

请问现在分词 shopping 逻辑主语是什么？不会是 it 吧？

根据《薄冰高级英语语法》第10.51节：当现在分词的逻辑主语泛指“我们”“人们”时，有时可以使用垂悬的现在分词。如：

Using the electric energy, it is necessary to change its form. 我们使用电能时须改变其形式。（《薄冰高级英语语法》第10.51节）

根据《牛津英语用法指南》第411节：当主句含有先行主语 it 或 there 时，也可使用垂悬分词。如：

Being French, it’s surprising that she’s such a terrible cook. 她是法国人，但她厨艺那么糟令人感到惊奇。（《牛津英语用法指南》）

Having so little time, there was not much that I could do. 由于时间很少，我能做的事情很有限。（《牛津英语用法指南》）

1.结论:

赞同两位老师。这里shopping逻辑主语是表示"人们"的泛指，可以是people也可以是you，但因为这种省略一般不会造成歧义，这种省略也能在实际的语言使用中见到(虽然不符合语法规则)。
