(1)They had just enough time to swim out of danger when/before the boat again completed a circle.
(2)The snow had not stopped ( ) we arrived in Shanghai one hour later.
a) 为什么(2)句填入when或before含义不同,而(1)却可以when=before呢?
(1)They had just enough time to swim out of danger when/before the boat again completed a circle.
(2)The snow had not stopped ( when) we arrived in Shanghai one hour later.
The snow had not stopped when we arrived in Shanghai.
The snow had not stopped before we arrived in Shanghai.(含义:到达上海时,雪是否还在下,不得而知)
The snow had not stopped until we arrived in Shanghai.(含义:到达上海时,雪就停了)
