曾看到一位学生写过这样一个句子：

请问过去分词kicked做什么成分？符合语法规则么？

这个句子貌似正确，其实犯了一个语法错误。
从句意看，是想用过去分词短语表示结果状语。语法分析，由于过去分词先于句子谓语动词发生，因此，一般不能用过去分词作结果状语（除非这个过去分词是分词形容词表结果）。可以考虑改用现在分词被动式或并列句：

He often skipped class, being kicked out of school by the headmaster.

关于过去分词形容词，可以表示结果，例如：
