itself为camp的反身代词，作camp的同位语，起强调作用。could hear在此表示一种状态，并不是表示主语成功做到了一件有难度的事情，为什么要用was able to hear呢？dressed in过去非常短语为伴随状语。jumping into为时间状语，表示二个动作紧密衔接。
