请教这句话这里是否应使用介词短语

看一篇介绍vr技术的文章有一句话the research showed that students felt comfortable taking risk when playing game。翻译意思是研究表明学生们在玩游戏时会乐于冒险。

我认为在这句话里作表语的形容词comfortable和taking risk之间缺少了介词，可以是to或是with。这样理解是否正确？
