这里有两种翻译方式:

①她往下看这条路……(因为look down是一个词组，译为往下看)

②她顺着这条路看……(因为down作介词，译为顺着)

这两种翻译方式正确吗？

2.The bus stop is a bit further down the left-hand side.

这里的down作介词，为什么后面还也可以跟on这样的介词呢？

3. She's just gone down to the shops.

这里的down译为附近的，应该是形容词,不明白为什么要跟在动词gone的后面，而且down为什么修饰介词短语中的shops呢？

——从结构看，looked down the road 中，down 是介词，不是副词，因为后面接了宾语 the road。用作介词时，down 表示“沿着；顺着”；用作副词跟动词连用，表示方位和方向“朝下；向下”。所以，第二种理解正确。

2.The bus stop is a bit further down on the left-hand side.

这里的down作介词，为什么后面还也可以跟on这样的介词呢？

——本句 on the left-hand side 是介词短语作表语，down 仍然是副词，意为“在远处”，down 单独使用时常表示距离远。a bit further 表示down 的程度，意思是“稍微远一点”。然后 a bit further down 共同修饰介词短语 on the left-hand side。在左侧，在右侧，最常用的介词是 on。

1.翻译成：沿着、顺着都可以。

2.你在down后少写了on. 本句a bit further down 看作一个字群来断句. down 是副词。

3.down是副词修饰gone.
