怎么判断某一句子是否为目的状语从句

All the following sentences contain an adverbial clause of purpose EXCEPT________

A.I am telling you that lest you should make a mistake.

B. He wrote the name down in order that he can remember it.

C. You'd better take more clothes in case the weather is cold.

D. I long to visit Bejjing, so much so that I dreamabout it last nign.

这道题的正确答案是D，但我有些疑问：

1. lest本身不就可以引导从句了吗，为什么还要加个that呢？而且tell的常用用法是tell sb sth, 为什么这个从句不是宾语从句呢？

2. C选项，in case 以防，不应该属于让步状语从句吗，为什么答案说是目的状语从句呢？

以上三句，黑体部分都是引导目的状语从句的连词或词组。

A句，that 是指示代词“那个事”，作直接宾语。网友忽略了这个很简单的问题。

关于 D 句，这个主从句含有结果状语从句，不是目的状语从句，且有多处书写错误。

I long to visit Bejjing, so much so that I dream about it last nign.

应改为：I longed to visit Bejjing so much that I dreamed about it last night.
