5 be it…or…的用法
老师好：
be it or这个结构，是不是it这个位置只能用代词？能用名词么？比如说：
Be Mary rich or poor, I will marry her. 这个句子对么？
我看到有这么个句子：
Sadly its not a matter or so called educated or not, its more it shows how small minded and short sighted millions are, be they rich or poor or have a degree or not, for 10's of millions of us who voted remain, we are as baffled as you as to how leaving a great group of countries who we have been trading with and have been at peace with for almost 50 years just beggars belief.
这里的 be they rich or poor or have a degree or not 从have开始，是whether they have a degree or not的简化么？所以不仅whether be it可以简化？

Be Mary rich or poor, I will marry her. ——正确。 等于： Whether Mary is rich or poor, I will marry her.
be they rich or poor or have a degree or not ——第二个 or 连接两个让步从句，等于：
whether they are rich or poor, or whether they have a degree or not
第二个让步状语从句，不属于倒装结构。第一种情况的倒装仅限于 be 动词。
