The metal lunch box craze lasted until the mid-1980s, when plastic took over. Two theories exist as to why. The firstand most likelyis that plastic had simply become cheaper. The second theorypossibly an urban mythis that concerned parents in several states proposed bans on metal lunch boxes, claiming kids were using them as “weapons” to hit one another. There's a lot on the internet about a state-wide ban in Florida, but a few days worth of digging by a historian at the Florida State Historical Society found no such legislation. Either way, the metal lunch box was out.——《大学英语等级考试》

I gave him sixpence yesterday and advised him to save it. Instead, he bought himself sixpence worth of trouble.

I went and bought about six dollars' worth of potato chips.

He bought 40 dollars' worth of gas.

She has 15 years' worth of experience in advertising.

The winner will receive fifty pounds' worth of books.

I went and bought about six dollars' worth of potato chips.

The prepaid sim card gives you ten euros-worth of calls.

You've got three years' worth of research money to do what you want with.

The film is his own compilation of more than 50 hours-worth of footage.

https://forum.wordreference.com/threads/four-million-dollars-worth-of-equipment.619426/
