be prepared to do与prepare to do的区别

(1) are prepared to可以改为 prepare to 吗？are prepared 这里是表示被动吗？为什么？还有其他类似的例子吗？
(2) would agree 可以改成 will agree 吗？为什么？

从语法上讲，这里的 be prepared to 的确是被动，用在这里是主要是要表达一种语气，因为后面的 10% 的折扣不是供应商主动提出来的，而是商家自己要的。所以，用被动更好！当然，也有的说，be prepared to 是打算做某事。
would agree 这里是情态动词 would 和 will 的一个区别，用 will 的话明确表示会做某事，would 却不一定；另外 would 更为委婉！
