be prepared to do与prepare to do的区别

We have received your price lists and have studied it carefully. However, the price level in your quotation is too high for this market. If you are prepared to grant us a discount of 10% for a quantity of 500 sets, we would agree to your offer. You should note that some price cut will justify itself by an increase in business. We hope to hear from you soon.

请问:

(1) are prepared to可以改为 prepare to 吗?are prepared 这里是表示被动吗?

(2) would agree 可以改成 will agree 吗?

1. [intransitive and transitive] to make plans or arrangements for something that will happen in the future [= get ready]

prepare for

The 45 year-old explorer has been preparing for his latest expedition to the Arctic.

 prepare to do something

Her parents were busy preparing to go on holiday.

The prosecution wanted more time to prepare their case.

2. prepared  [adjective]

be prepared to do something

to be willing to do something, especially something difficult or something that you do not usually do:

You have to be prepared to take risks in this kind of work.

How much is she prepared to pay?

从词典的解释和例句可以看出:be prepared to do sth. “乐于做某事”(prepared 是形容词);prepare to do sth.

此外,用we would 比we will 语气婉转,例如:

We would be delighted to accept your invitation.

We would be very grateful if you could give us some advice.
